Description
Wednesday 1 April 2026, 5–7pm
Do you:
~ Want to learn how to use The Seed Library at CCADLD.
~ Want to start growing your own food, but don’t know where to start.
~ Your space is limited to a window sill or a door step, but you want to grow your own vegetables and herbs.
Then this pop-up workshop is for you.
Come along to this free event to get the chance to find out more about The Seed Library at CCADLD. We will be joined by Conor O'Kane from The Seed It Union, who will share his knowledge and wisdom on all things seeds, planting and growing. You will learn about how to use The Seed Library, how to start growing despite limitations and how to become a seed saver. You will find out about what varieties you can borrow and grow. You will learn how to become a seed saver, by saving seeds for The Seed It Union; a way to contribute to an international network of custodians that maintain our natural heritage of saving seeds and growing our own vegetables.
You are invited to bring along items from your recycle bin, including toilet roll holders, mushroom trays and yoghurt pots. There will be seedlings from Conor's greenhouse and some compost to take home with you.
This free workshop is suitable for all ages. This event is in partnership with CCADLD, The Seed It Union and Artitude: Climate, Culture & Circularity. You can book your free place here via this page. Groups can email info@ccadld.org for more information.
