Foyle Pride 2025: Photography Workshop with @ShotsByOliver

For Foyle Pride 2025 CCA invites Photographer and Musician Oliver Matthew Grant (@ShotsByOliver) to host a photography workshop in CCA on Friday 22 August 2025, 10am–12pm.

You don’t need fancy gear to take great photos. This relaxed, hands-on workshop is all about making the most of the camera you already have – your phone! Whether you're a total beginner or just want to sharpen your eye, we’ll explore easy tips for framing, lighting, and editing on the go.

Book your free place via CCA's online shop CCADLD.org/Shop. Booking is essential and places are limited for this intimate workshop. This event is for participants aged 18 and over. After booking we will contact all participants and you can tell us any access requirements that we can help with.

About Oliver:

Oliver Matthew Grant (@ShotsByOliver) is a Derry-based photographer and musician whose work blends bold visual storytelling with deep social awareness. From the dancefloor to the gallery wall, Oliver’s images capture energy, identity, and real-life moments with striking clarity.

He has toured globally as a photographer and social media manager for some of the biggest names in music, bringing his creative vision behind the scenes and on the road.

Oliver has also exhibited photographic projects that celebrate society’s diverse voices — from spotlighting LGBTQIA+ communities to documenting older people during lockdown — with a strong commitment to inclusivity at the heart of his lens. His work has been featured across multiple BBC Newsline segments and in print with The Guardian, earning recognition for its honest and human-centred approach.
