CCA Project Space: Robáird Doherty

CCA Derry~Londonderry are delighted to be hosting artist Robáird Doherty in our Project Space. Robáird will be testing out a new installation in the space, which will be viewable from our windows at 10-12 Artillery Street.

About Robáird Doherty

Robáird Doherty is a recent graduate of Ulster University studying Fine Art, utilising a multifaceted and ephemeral approach to their practice.

Their current work currently explores local colloquialisms used to describe their surroundings, alongside the equipment of stories and recipes primarily passed orally through generations.

These create different feelings to connect memory with that of physicality, taste and smell. In turn instilling a conversation on the recollection of our perceived upbringing and how we interpret spaces we have a connection to.

Their work emphasises on the temporary, whether made to be consumed, destroyed or discarded, itself becomes an object of the past.

Supported by Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Derry City & Strabane District Council, Garfield Weston Foundation.
