CCA Project Space: Pascale Steven
Pascale's time in the Project Space was connected to recent preoccupations and processes in her work. Her practice usually involves the use of discarded objects assembled in the service of a given set of thoughts at a point in time.
The architecture of the Project Space was a major consideration in Pascale's time at the CCA, and the potential of some recently collected materials and objects of interest was the main stimulus for their development in the space.
Pascale's working process involves the reading, manipulation and organisation of materials as a means of understanding an individual situation and a way of engaging people in a shared and common experience.
Materially, her practice often involves using non-art materials and
objects of no monetary worth alongside digital media, and also partly questions value systems within and outside of art.
Pascale used the CCA Project space as an open-ended pursuit driven by curiosity, exploration and serendipity.
