We’re excited to announce the first CCA Introducing takeover of 2024: artist-curator Dinosaur Kilby. 

Dinosaur will be taking over our Instagram throughout the day tomorrow, introducing us to his practice and working context. Dinosaur was nominated to take part in CCA Introducing by artist Leah Hickey, who took part in the takeover series back in 2023.

Dinosaur Kilby is based in Birmingham, UK, and currently works at Wolverhampton Art Gallery as a Digital Producer. Between 2021-23 he completed an artist-curator traineeship at Eastside Projects. He set up and ran Cheap Cheap (@cheapcheapgallery) , an artist-led space, between 2019-2023.

Dinosaur is currently working on Free House, a new artist studio complex and Prayer Room, a new exhibition space, both in Digbeth, Birmingham.

He is also a founding member of Kühle Wampe, a horrible collaboration based across The Midlands.

Recent projects include ‘If It Thunders on All Fool’s Day’ at Eastside Projects. Recent exhibitions at Cheap Cheap include; Ishmail De Niro’s ‘The Saracen’s Head,’ Leah Hickey’s ‘How to Get Attention When You’re Drowning’ & Campbell Mcconnell’s ‘Harbouring Delusion.’ Kühle Wampe have recently shown at 2 Queens, Leicester & Collective Ending HQ, London. Dinosaur has work in 'The Way We Left It' at The Wilson, Cheltenham, and has recently shown work at Test Space International, Volkskammer, Austria.
