'Slow Making' workshop by Lyndsey McDougall with Age Concern UK

Last week CCA partnered with Age Concern UK on Chapel Road to host the Slow Making eco bundle dye workshop by Lyndsey McDougall. Lyndsey taught the participants about natural dyeing techniques using flowers, vegetable skins and herbs. See the first set of images below for Lyndsey's process of making, and the images below that for the results.

Participants enjoyed the tactile qualities of the natural materials and cotton cloth. They spoke of their gardens and of memories associated with the various flora and fauna. They enjoyed the hands process and the freedom to experiment. CCA Derry~Londonderry and Age Concern have plans to continue to work together, to bring creative workshops to the centre in the future.
