Johan Tirén

Stockholm-based Johan Tirén’s practice stems from an avid interest in social and economical issues. Educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and Malmö Art Academy, he has presented his projects at venues such as BAK, basis voor actuele kunst, Utrecht; Centro Cultural Montehermoso, Vitoria Gasteiz; Marabouparken, Sundbyberg; Moderna museet, Stockholm; Overgaden ICA, Copenhagen; and Parsons The New School for Design, the Sheila C Johnson Design Center, New York City. Tirén will research and produce of a new project for Contours of the Common during the Summer of 2012.
