In residence: Hu Yun

Artist Hu Yun will be in residence at CCA in December, researching the storytelling traditions and colonial interactions between China and Northern Ireland. Based in Shanghai, Hu Yun has developed projects for Magician Space, Beijing, Natural History Museum, London, 7th Shenzhen Sculpture Biennale, and 4th Guangzhou Triennial. He was previously artist in residence at Gasworks, London, and iaspis, Stockholm. Hu Yun's research will be developed into an artist book that will be launched at CCA in May 2015. The project forms part of CCA's 'Open Book' programme supported by Arts Council Northern Ireland / Derry City Council Legacy Funds, with additional support from The British Council.
