School's Programme: The Night Journal
The Centre for Contemporary Art Derry~Londonderry invites dance artist Maíre Morrison to devise a movement based workshop for local school children. These School's Programme workshops form part of the Public Programme for The Night Journal CCA's current exhibition which runs until 19 December 2026. Keep an eye on this page as we share images of the workshops.

Maíre Morrison is a dance artist from and based in Derry. She graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) in Professional Dance from Dance City in 2023. Since graduating, she has been working as a freelance dance artist across the country, as a performer, facilitator, and emerging choreographer.
As a dancer, she has worked with companies including Maiden Voyage Dance, Fidget Feet Aerial Dance, the National Gallery of Ireland and the The Playhouse Derry-Londonderry.
Over the past year Maíre has begun developing her choreographic voice. She was selected to take part in programmes such as Maiden Voyage Dance’s MatchMake programme and An Grianán Theatre's Acorn Programme, both of which are supporting her artistic and professional development. This year she made her choreographic debut, a site specific dance work “Encounters”. It premiered in March 2026, and has since been performed at events such as the Carnival of Colours and Culture Night in Belfast.
