raw feels / cooked feels is a talk and screening of recent film works by artist Lauren Gault. Her sculptural, written and performance-based practice looks at the resonant quality of materials; how objects can evoke more ‘intangible’ qualities, such as a period of time, a place or a presence. For this one-evening event at CCA, Gault will present a visual talk about her work and research, focussing on works developed from resources / objects in Ireland. The talk will conclude with the screening of new film works filmed in Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands.
