Open Core: A Lecture Performance by Julien Maire

A lecture performance, Open Core by Berlin-based artist Julien Maire (b. Metz, 1969) is held at CCA. In his Open Core performances, Maire revisits the public anatomical dissectionsfrom the 16th century and turns his attention machines of vision such as cameras and webcams, while also keeping a old Super 8 projector rolling. Throughout the course of the evening Maire takes the audience on a journey propelled by live animation, dissection, and instruction.
