On Friday 22 October 2021 from 10am, follow artist Francesca Hutchinson as she takes over our Instagram page to share her work and research for CCA Introducing 2021. Francesca has been nominated by CCA's Marketing and Digital Programmes Coordinator Fiona Allan, who is curating the CCA Introducing 2021 programme.

Francesca Hutchinson is an Offaly based multidisciplinary artist, born in 1999. She is currently studying in Limerick School of Art and Design, and will be completing her final year this coming September. Her work continuously varies through a complexity of mediums and materials, currently she is exploring the boundaries of textiles. She takes inspiration from her family’s heritage coming from the Travelling community, her artwork also deals with issues such as depicting an invisible illness and the cycle of life. Her work is “ever evolving” and stems from a variety of inspirations.

“I need to make work that has meaning and inspiration, my creativity feeds off this.”

Her hope for the future is that she can educate and inform the wider audience through her art, about her and her family’s life experiences, through the joy and freedom creativity brings her.
