On Thursday 9 December 2021 from 10am, follow artist Fionn Duffy as she takes over our Instagram and Twitter pages to share her work and research for CCA Introducing 2021. Fionn has been nominated by CCA's Marketing and Digital Programmes Coordinator Fiona Allan, who is curating the CCA Introducing 2021 programme.

Fionn Duffy is an interdisciplinary artist based in Glasgow, Scotland. With an interest in the ethical and ecological concerns at stake when considering the relationship between the porous human body and material, her work manifests as sculpture, video and text. Responding to methods of preservation and production, she works at the edges of transformation with an attentiveness to residue, absence and persistence.

Fionn will be sharing some of the processes involved in her ongoing research project, A Mineral Dance: Or How To Become Glass, which weaves together the legacies of coastal industries with geological processes and investigates how the embodiment of historic practices through re-creation might reconfigure our relationships to material as collaborator.
