CCA Derry~Londonderry has partnered with Art Night 2021 to screen Alberta Whittle’s film trilogy Creating dangerously (we-I insist!) in the CCA Project Space, Tuesday 6 July–Saturday 17 July. Booking for this event is essential and can be done through our online shop.
After Dark: 'SWELL!'
Derry Halloween is very different this year, but that doesn’t stop us from celebrating in creative ways. In the spirit of the season, CCA Derry~Londonderry is screening a trio of films by Éanna Mac Cana. These can be viewed through the gallery’s windows on Artillery Street and from the City Walls. The films will play throughout the day, and will be best viewed after dark.
Mac Cana’s films White Weather (2020), Och Ochón (2018) will be shown for the duration of the Derry Halloween 2020 festival. A new film Swell! (2020) will premiere for this event. These short conceptual pieces mix imagery belonging to seemingly separate spheres with the intention of sparking ideas of the micro and macro, of trauma and turbulence, of creation and departure.
